Mortgage/Bank Financing Information

Getting a Bank Financing in Boracay Island is a bit a challenge since most of the land here in Boracay is untitled.

Some Banks accepts tax declarations for applying mortgage but it is not generally accepted. However, with regards to loans and bank financing, we advise that you should directly ask the bank.

With regards to foreigners/ expats, there are only a handful of banks that will be willing to lend them. The chances of acquiring a loan are somewhat limited and complicated because the bank will have to require a lot of things from them such as proof that they’ll be spending a long period of time in the country.
